Reporters write stories on legislation, candidates, trials, and special interests before, during, and after the Assembly. These stories are published each of the three days of the Assembly in The Observer as well as online.



Video Press





Students shoot video, conduct interviews, write stories, and produce segments for clips and shows. These videos are published each of the three days of the Assembly on the IL Y&G YouTube channel.



"The Press program was a unique experience, and because my job involved interviewing lots of different people from all parts of the program, I learned more about all of Youth and Government instead of only one side. It helped me set aside my own personal biases, and to try to understand different perspectives instead of just my own."
